Angular Contact Bearings

Single Row Type

Single Row Angular contact Bearings are designed for combination loading with high thrust capacity in one direction, and are suggested for applications where the thrust load is large enough to preclude deep groove ball bearings. They are dimensionally interchangeable with single row deep groove bearings of corresponding sizes.

Angular contact bearings come with specific contact angles which are normally 15°, 30°, or 40°. Larger Contact angle supports higher axial loads and smaller angle is more advantageous for running at high speeds.

Angular contact bearings are usually mounted in a group of two or more opposed preloaded units to accommodate radial loads and axial loads in both directions. DB and DF matched pair bearings and double-row bearings can accommodate radial load and axial load in both directions. DT Matched pair bearing are used for applications where axial load in one direction is too large for one bearing to accept.

Angular contact bearings are used for high accuracy and high-speed operation.

Main Applications – Single Row: Machine tool spindles, high frequency motors, gas turbines, centrifugal separators, front wheels of small

Double Row Type

Double Row Angular Contact ball bearings have raceways in the inner and outer rings that are displaced with respect to each other in the direction of the bearing axis. This means they are designed to accommodate and simultaneously carry axial and radial loads.

Double row angular contact bearings can support thrust in both the directions. The main advantages of the double row are rigidity, compactness and high capacity.
