KCM 80-1COT ASA Roller Chain – 1″ Pitch Simplex Cottered – 10FT Box

The KCM 80-1COT is an ASA simplex cottered precision roller chain with 1″ (25.4mm) pitch – 15.88mm roller diameter and 15.88mm width between inner plates. Pin diameter 7.94mm – plate thickness 3.2mm – plate height 23mm.

Minimum tensile strength 55.6 kN to ANSI B29.1 – average rated tensile strength 72.6 kN – maximum allowable load 14.71 kN – approximate weight 2.5 kg/m.

Precision roller chain transmits power between sprockets by positive engagement – giving a constant drive ratio with no slip. Solid bushes and rollers spread the load across the full bearing area – and heat-treated pins hold their surface hardness so the chain resists elongation over a long service life.

This is the cottered version. Cotter pins let the joint be taken apart and re-made in the field – the usual choice on large slow-speed drives and on chain that is dismantled for maintenance.
