The GAK15 is a Blind Aluminium Rivets.

Joining sheet where there is access to only one side is the classic blind fastening problem, solved by pulling a mandrel through a hollow body with a hand tool. Blind rivets give a permanent joint in thin panels, while nutserts leave a captive internal thread so a bolt can be removed and refitted.
