The GAK17 is a Countersunk Self Tapping Wood Screws.

Cutting their own thread as they drive, these screws pull sheet metal, timber and plastic together without a nut behind the work. A pilot hole sized to the shank is all the preparation needed, and head styles run from countersunk for a flush finish to hex head that takes a driver under load.
