Design & Construction

Manufactured by NACHI (a division of Fujikoshi Corporation, Japan), the 24122AXW33C3 features a standard cylindrical bore for direct shaft mounting. The bearing incorporates two rows of barrel-shaped rollers running on a common spherical outer raceway, which provides the self-aligning capability. Rings and rollers are precision-ground from high-carbon chromium bearing steel (AISI 52100 / JIS SUJ2), heat-treated to achieve optimum hardness and fatigue life. The W33 designation indicates factory-machined oil supply holes and an annular groove on the outer ring, enabling efficient forced-oil or circulating-oil lubrication systems. C3 internal radial clearance (greater than Normal/CN) provides additional operating clearance to accommodate thermal expansion, misalignment, and interference fits commonly encountered in heavy-duty applications. Rated for a basic dynamic load capacity of 620.0 kN and a static load capacity of 654.0 kN, this bearing delivers robust performance under heavy combined loads and demanding operating conditions. Permissible speeds reach 2,700 rpm with grease lubrication and 3,600 rpm with oil lubrication. The self-aligning design tolerates angular misalignment of up to approximately 1-2 degrees, ensuring reliable operation even when precise shaft-to-housing alignment cannot be maintained.
