The 1225221 is a rotary shaft oil seal with a 12.250″ bore (shaft), 13.750″ outside diameter (housing) and 0.625″ width, seal type HDS7L08, with a XNBR sealing lip.

Rotary shaft (oil) seals retain lubricant in the housing and exclude dirt, dust and moisture, with a spring-loaded flexible lip running against the shaft to maintain a positive seal as the lip wears. They are fitted into the housing bore with the lip facing the fluid being retained.
