The 255X315X25 HDS2 R is a rotary shaft oil seal with a 255mm bore (shaft), 315mm outside diameter (housing) and 25mm width, seal type HDS2, with a Nitrile (NBR) sealing lip.

Rotary shaft (oil) seals retain lubricant in the housing and exclude dirt, dust and moisture, with a spring-loaded flexible lip running against the shaft to maintain a positive seal as the lip wears. They are fitted into the housing bore with the lip facing the fluid being retained.
