The VS-090 is a VS series V-ring seal moulded in nitrile (NBR) rubber, suiting a shaft diameter of 88.00 – 93.00mm. Seal dimensions: inside diameter 81mm, outside diameter 93mm, height 15.5mm.
A V-ring is an all-rubber axial seal that stretches onto and rotates with the shaft, its flexible lip pressing axially against a counterface to exclude dirt, dust, splash water and other contaminants. It works as a highly effective secondary seal, protecting bearings and oil seals in dusty or wet conditions, and can be fitted without dismantling the shaft by simply stretching it into position. The VS profile is the wider, heavier-duty type. Nitrile (NBR) offers excellent resistance to oils, greases and water with a working temperature range of approximately -40C to +100C; also available in Viton (FKM) for higher temperatures.
