The KCM 140-2COT-OL is an ASA duplex cottered precision offset/half link with 1-3/4″ (44.45mm) pitch – 25.4mm roller diameter and 25.4mm width between inner plates. Pin diameter 12.31mm – plate thickness 5.6mm – plate height 40.7mm.
An offset link – also called a half link – adds a single pitch to a chain. It lets an odd number of pitches be made up without cutting the chain back to an even length – useful where the centre distance of a drive is fixed.
This is the cottered version. Cotter pins let the joint be taken apart and re-made in the field – the usual choice on large slow-speed drives and on chain that is dismantled for maintenance.
Please note: this offset/half link is sold each. It suits KCM 140-2 chain and any other ASA chain of the same size.
