The SIR0016P16 is a 22NR/L 22NR Indexable Nickel Plated Treading Boring Bar.
Enlarging and truing an existing hole on a lathe is done with a bar that reaches inside the bore and cuts on the way out. An indexable carbide insert at the tip is replaced when it dulls, and rake geometry is chosen to suit free cutting alloys or tougher steels.
